Criticism

Native to Déville-lès-Rouen, Isabelle Patissier dedicated herself to teaching art, succeeding in convincing and developing young talents as well as creative inclinations in many adults. Both a rigorous and an enthusiastic teacher, she is nonetheless a most original painter thanks to her well-developed technique and the lyrical elegance that is found in her work that she now signs under the alias: "Isapatis". Keen to recreate a lively and mysterious symbolism, Isabelle Patissier has oriented herself over the years towards painting passionate abstract work without neglecting however, at times, a sober and gracious realism. All her painting is but radiant rhythms beating in time to the network of impetuses and fluxes that reveal a creative subtlety dominated by a suggestive synthesis steeped in dreams. Spiritual and vital, Isabelle Patissier’s drawings and sculptures nevertheless contain a rare energy that is commanded by the spontaneity of her gesture and her control of the structure, the excellence of which reveals the quality of the artist and the teacher. Patissier is recognized by her peers who exhibit her work in famous Salons and prestigious galleries, without forgetting the acknowledgment she receives from amateurs and associations such as ‘Arts-Sciences-Lettres’.
