Criticism

The textile art and embroidered works created by Roselyne Besnard are very original. Big formats perfectly suit the big spaces they are presented in, but the admirably-placed, more modest-sized works are no less remarkable and appealing. Roselyne Besnard is a native of Orleans and also from Rouen, and a few local exhibitions have made this graduate from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts well-known for the quality of her concepts and talent as a colourist. This artist remains first and foremost a talented visual artist, handling shapes, rhythms and colours with an exceptional personality and a movement that is full of bold elegance, thereby enthralling and conquering art-lovers with its grace and spiritual power.
