and at the “Beaux Arts of Rennes,

term “croûte”
in French refers to poor quality paintings

PAINTER
Michel CLOS has been exhibiting since 1960
and his favourite themes are women, public
spectacles and their inner workings, circuses,
gardens, nature, water and markets.
His trips abroad were the cause of theme
exhibitions about the Balearic Islands (his
mother was from Majorca), Sicily, Crete,
Ciprus, Marocco, Senegal, the Malagasy Republic,
Thailand, Mexico, Guatemala, India, Indonesia,
Vietnam, the West Indies and Venice.
Since 1974 :
Annual exhibition with completely new works.
The theme is always Saint-Lô in mid-December.
The 2004 edition featured Venice, Morocco
and Vietnam with a little symphony of blue
watercolours. |
