Sophie Latron-Ruiz is a reference in the contemporary art world, in that by rationally guiding her brushstroke she attains a meticulous abstract style that is nevertheless full of charm. In fact, as a well self-taught artist will, Sophie Latron-Ruiz reveals her personality completely through her works and in all techniques. The artist fell in love with creating instantly, but with what style and what care! Her taste and visual choices mould matter and colours in works that vary from sober monochromes to sparkling ensembles of pure pigments and harmonies. They are of a finesse that is undoubtedly poetic, and yet are also captivating thanks to their more tangible charm. Constructing square-format pieces allows Sophie Latron-Ruiz at times to enhance a geometric idea with elegant supremacy. Simultaneously, her striking evocative motifs and precious metals are the remarkable result of her imagination, the definitions of which are carefully studied and ever-renewed. And yet she never loses for a moment the thread of a style that is as refined as it is daring, reflecting her generosity and ineffable passion for spaces and admirable symbols.
