Criticism

Although she obtained awards at the Ecole des Beaux Arts of Rouen in 1956, it was only in 1983 that Adeline CHABERT–BOUÉ exhibited for the first time her paintings, water-colours and pastels, wherein her technique rivals her flare. Excellent abstract brushstrokes characterize her work, and yet she paints reality, and with originality, conferring it a willful and healthy creativity very much in tune with her beautiful and sound painting. Her designs are bold, bright or dark, with superb rich and lively perspectives evocative of Normandy. Her ease is also present when defining attractive nudes with irreproachable figures and postures that are full of charm.
